We are together. This is a line Congo Initiative staff continue to repeat to one another during these uncertain times. Whether virtually or through our limited activities safely implemented to continue serving the community, we remind one another of our solidarity as we all face a world shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic.

For years, the people of Congo have endured and suffered from disease and conflict. Those who have experienced these realities first hand, can provide comfort and hope. As Dr. David Kasali, Co-Founder and President of Congo Initiative, shares, Congo is no stranger to challenges, pain, and suffering. Dr. Kasali is currently on lockdown in Kampala, Uganda and unable to return to Beni at this time. However, representing our CI community in Congo, he shares these words of encouragement for our entire global community.
