Congo Initiative equips Christian communities to play their part in rebuilding Congo through community development projects that serve to alleviate poverty and create economic opportunities. Our Center for Church Renewal and Global Mission facilitates workshops for church leaders to train them in fundamental community development principles.

The primary result of these workshops is the creation of micro loan initiatives that foster economic growth in communities.

Our goal is to empower church leaders to recognize and champion three core realities:

• Caring for the vulnerable is a sign of God’s love for all people
• Promoting community development helps to break down ethnic divisions and fosters unity
• Serving the community in tangible, holistic ways is part of the Good News of the Christian faith
