Impoverishment, widespread unemployment, insecurity, and other disabling hardships, result in families in Beni and the surrounding area being unable to afford school fees for their children’s most basic education needs. As a result, these children are left vulnerable and families uncertain about their future. Without education, young people lack opportunities to improve their lives and remain mired in poverty.
In response, we are reaching this most vulnerable portion of the population by creating high quality, inclusive education for primary school students. La Charité Bilingue du Congo serves more than 200 children in grades K-6. Core academic instruction, physical exercise, music, and a loving environment are all part of the services we provide.
