OUR APPROACH
The rising generation in Congo sees a new path forward but faces a gap in access to the education and community needed to ignite change and transform lives. Congo Initiative aims to bridge this gap and invest in those best positioned to create lasting change. Visionary changemakers develop lasting initiatives to confront Congo’s greatest challenges and ignite human flourishing.

CI was founded in 2005 and opened the doors of the Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo (UCBC) in 2007. Since then, UCBC has educated and equipped hundreds of changemakers who model transformation by holistically renewing communities and promoting systemic justice in DRC.
OUR PEOPLE
Congo Initiative consists of three entities: Congo Initiative – l’Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo (CI-UCBC), Congo Initiative USA (CI-USA), and Congo Initiative UK (CI-UK). Our work and programs are run by our leadership at CI-UCBC and based in Beni, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo.
