Laetitia graduated from UCBC in 2013. Her studies of Information and Communication Sciences, as well as UCBC’s focus on students’ personal development and hands-on learning opportunities, prepared Laetitia well for her personal and professional life after university. “UCBC offered me a diverse learning environment where students are exposed to different cultures, nationalities and perspectives. This forced me to adopt an open and tolerant mindset, develop my intercultural sensitivity and interact with people from different backgrounds. In addition, UCBC emphasized the development of transferable skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving and effective communication. These skills have had an impact on me as a person, helping me to better manage the challenges of everyday life and to adapt in the professional world. My time at UCBC was a transformative experience in many ways. The academic program allowed me to develop my skills and knowledge in my field of study.”
Laetitia now works in communications, including blogging about social issues important to the rising generation in DRC. “The values instilled by the university – community, social responsibility, ethics, and excellence continue to guide me in my work. I am grateful for the solid foundation that I acquired at UCBC that continues to shape my life and career in a significant way.”
