Get Ready for Giving Tuesday on December 2
This year, Congo Initiative celebrates 20 years of walking alongside the rising generation of Congolese leaders. Over the past two decades, more than 1,000 students have graduated from Université Chrétienne Bilingue du Congo (UCBC), equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to transform their communities from within.
“When Nathalie Kimbesa first arrived at UCBC, she wasn’t sure what to expect from university life. But over four formative years, she found more than an education—she found a community that believed in her, a learning environment rooted in strong values, and mentors who helped her grow into a confident leader. Today, Nathalie is ready to serve her community with integrity, creativity, and compassion—thanks in large part to supporters like you.”
UCBC is more than a university – it’s a catalyst for transformation, shaping leaders who are committed to renewing their communities, their country, and the world. Your partnership makes this possible.
Giving Tuesday is one week away on December 2nd — and this year your gift goes twice as far!
A generous donor will match every gift up to $5,000.

John Musavuli’s journey is woven into the very story of UCBC. From one of the university’s earliest students to his current role as Academic Dean, John has been formed by UCBC’s relational, faith-integrated approach to education—a model he now strives to embody for the next generation.

“Life is not just about education, but about discovering purpose. At UCBC, I found more than knowledge. I found meaning… I now understand that I was born not just to make a living, but to make a difference.”
